With the fall television season wrapping up, one can’t help to feel anxious for future new pilots. From the clever The Mindy Project to the epic The New Normal, we saw creative new additions in the realm of TV sitcoms.
If you’re a fan of Saturday Night Live and own a dusty VHS copy of Good Burger, then you better keep reading, because there’s a sitcom in the works for you.
The single-camera comedy would star Thompson as Kenan Monroe, a guy who gives up his New York life and moves to his in-laws’ house in the suburbs, where he must contend with three generations of problems.
Michaels is set executive produce along with Thompson who will also write and star in the untitled new comedy that will sure be a hit for the network.
Thompson is no stranger to the television screen. After having minor roles on late 90’s television shows like Sister, Sister and The Harvey Show, he went on to co-star in Nickelodeon’s hit series Kenan and Kel. Thompson has since been a crucial cast member of Saturday Night Live since 2003.
