Well this is pretty historic.
According to Deadline, the series will follow a well-to-do young woman who “joins the Junior League, discovering an eclectic group of other young women who become unlikely allies in her quest to change the system.”
Unfortunately for our eyes, Kunis will solely executive produce the project without any on-screen appearances. This will mark Kunis’s first producing job, most likely inspired by trading saliva with the already experienced producer, Ashton Kutcher.
I’ll hold off my opinions about “Meridian” until it premieres next year, but it sounds like a welcomed attempt to educate The CW’s 99%
materialistic female audience of the efforts dedicated to gaining equal rights during the start of the Equal Rights Amendment.
“Meridian” could find relevance in this decade, as women made it clear they aren’t going to allow these hard-earned rights to be taken away from them by sexist men with 1950’s political agendas.
What can’t she do? Watch “Meridian Hills” on The CW fall 2013.
